Songs of Praise - 28 August 2026
The restoration and installation of the pipe organ, acquired from a church in Essex last year, progressed well and was completed in mid-July. To celebrate this exciting new addition to Lyne Kirk, an evening Songs of Praise service was planned and held in the Kirk.


Megget to Lyne Sponsored Walk & Picnic Garden Party - 21 June 2026
On the 21st of June, a small group of Friends walked over the hills from Megget to Lyne Kirk, retracing the journey regularly made by the Minister of Lyne in the days when Megget and Lyne churches were linked. As a stop off point for the walkers, by the kind permission of Alistair and Kathy Cunningham, Friends and their guests were invited to bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the garden at Hallmanor.


Commemorative Service - 24 August 2025
Lyne Kirk features in one of John Buchan's early novels, "John Burnet of Barns", and as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th Anniversary of John Buchan's birth a special service will be held in Lyne Kirk on Sunday 24th August 2025at 11:30 am to be conducted by Professor the Reverend Ian Bradley. This service is being organised by the John Buchan Story Museum in Peebles as part of a weekend of celebrations. https://www.johnbuchanstory.co.uk


Burns Supper - 25 January 2025
Burns Supper As our first fundraising event, we're delighted to announce that we'll be hosting a Burns Supper in Manor Village Hall on Saturday 25th January 2025. Tickets are £20 and include a pre-dinner drink and a two-course supper. You are invited to bring your own bottle to accompany your meal.
