Welcome to Friends of Lyne Kirk

Friends of Lyne Kirk (FOLK) is a registered charity, set up in February 2024, for the purpose of buying Lyne Kirk to preserve it as a place of public worship and historical interest.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated to our crowd-funding campaign, the purchase was completed in February 2025, securing the community ownership of Lyne Kirk for the foreseeable future.

Since then FOLK has established itself as a community centered organisation and is proud of all it has achieved, and the various community events it has hosted, in its first year as guardian of this very special building.

We look forward to the future with great enthusiasm and have plans in the pipeline for more community events in the coming year (see our News & Events page for details).
